Skooter was Runner-Up Champion in the 2002 ABC Chukar Classic* held April 13-14, 2002 in Fernley, Nevada *According to the American Brittany Club Policy Manual, "Classics are trials of national stature and prestige, ranking just below the American Brittany Club's Open and Amateur Championships." Skooter finished her Dual Championship June 9, 2002 by going Best of Breed from the Open Bitch Class over five male specials! Skooter came back to us after her owner, an avid hunter who loved her dearly, discovered he was severely allergic to her. Although it was a sad parting for her and her former owner, we were quite happy to take her back for she showed a tremendous amount of potential and she's cute as a button to boot! She runs like the wind and is as happy as can be. Skooter has never had a bad day. Skooter finished her Field Championship from a 34 dog Open All Age stake at the Greater Phoenix Brittany Club trial in January, 2001, just a week after winning a 24 dog Open stake at the Sahuaro Brittany Club. Now retired from the field, she was handled in Open stakes by professional handler Jimmy Berneathy and by Hank in Amateur Stakes. She finished her show championship on June 9, 2002 on the lead of the very talented Colleen Walsh--going Best of Breed from the Open Bitch Class over 5 specials including at least one Top Ten special. She was also awarded 2nd place in the Field Trial Bitch class at the 2003 American Brittany Club National Specialty Show with Dee handling.
